WhatsApp, SMS and Email templates to ask satisfied customers for reviews without being pushy

The best defense against fake reviews is having many real reviews. Here are ready templates to ask for them by WhatsApp, SMS and email without being pushy.

Review volume and velocity matter: a business with 200 real reviews absorbs a fake review much better than one with 15. Asking satisfied customers for reviews is the most profitable strategy and 100% legal when done right.

p. Why ask for reviews

  • Dilutes the weight of fake reviews (one fake among 200 weighs little)
  • Improves your Google Local Pack position
  • Builds social proof that converts before the first call
  • Gives you real feedback to improve your service

c. When to ask

  • At peak satisfaction: right after the service, delivery or onboarding
  • Not while the customer is mid-process or upset (wait until the issue is resolved)
  • A few days later by email/SMS as a gentle reminder
  • Never to unsatisfied customers with unresolved issues: invite them to resolve first

w. WhatsApp templates

e. Email templates

b. Best practices and mistakes

  • Use a direct link to the Google review form (not the general profile) and, if possible, a QR — generate yours free with our link and QR tool
  • Only ask satisfied customers, without pressure
  • DO NOT offer discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews: that is incentivization, banned by Google
  • DO NOT ask for "a five-star review": ask for "an honest review of your experience"
  • DO NOT use customer lists without consent (GDPR): use channels where you already have a commercial relationship
